The world of Mireille Capelle is one of music and theatre. She has a special love of contemporary music and art. Her many many encounters with leading contemporary composers led her to establish “architectures sonores”.

The ‘architectures sonores’ are like sound installations, crystallised snapshots of a continuous artistic process.

The combination of environmental sounds and vibrations, places, objects and time periods offers a passage to another world of experience, another reality. All sounds come from natural sources, which are around you all the time, or are sounds from classical instruments.

Mireille Capelle: “I believe that there is music in all architecture. I believe that geometric shapes sing. That’s why I also believe that flowers, trees, animals, everything around us has a certain resonance that our human ears don’t recognise, or no longer recognise.”

We do not listen to an ‘architecture sonores’ as we would listen to a musical composition. It is another way of allowing ourselves to be embraced by unexpected shades of colour, all of which belong to what surrounds us, and which appear remarkable. It changes the notion of time.
