THE TIMES is a forum for young composers. A young composer can take classes at the music academy, participate in internships and try to master as many instruments as possible, but in the end the performance of a composition remains the most important necessity.
Young composers especially need experimentation and cooperation with professional musicians in order to further develop their personal style and craftsmanship.
With THE TIMES, HERMESensemble offers young composers (10-20 years old) the opportunity to have their works performed and to experiment with sounds during rehearsals. The participants are coached by professional composers.
