Opening image: a black and white close-up of a shouting blonde woman. What’s happening exactly and above all why, is a mistery for the time being…

‘The Lodger’ was the first movie in which Hitchcock introduced a style and themes that would become his trademark. Characters without names, a claustrophobic illumination, imminent camera angles. An intense thriller. Seventy-three years later, the English composer Joby Talbot  wrote a soundtrack for it. With his music he wants to restore the film’s impact at that time.
