An immersive musical afternoon and evening about contact in the 21st century: contact between people – performers and listeners -, contact between man and machine, contact between machines. A trail and an experience for both lay people and specialized listeners.

HERMESensemble presents KONTAKTE by Karlheinz Stockhausen as a starting point. KONTAKTE is an icon of early electro-acoustic music, which still inspires and astonishes fifty years after the composition. In SOLO contact is made with a musician on the other side of the world, and played together. Led by Koen Kessels, contemporary responses from Daan Janssens (BE) and Daniela Fantechi (IT) to Stockhausen’s enigmas are formulated.

Orpheus Institute presents an interactive theme afternoon in which the participants and listeners are challenged to come into contact with sound, music and musicians in a special way. Free your ears!
